Optimal distribution of loads accounting the losses in electrical power systems

The problem of regime optimisation in an electrical power system with known equipment composition is formulated as a nonlinear mathematical programming problem. As an economic criteria of the solution the minimum of total fuel expense is approved. The technical constraints are presented like linear inequalities. The power losses in the electric network are counted off with approximate formulas. As we have in mind that the reactive power distribution has a slight influence on the active redistribution, the problem must be decomposed: first the reactive power optimal distribution is defined after that fixed reactive power and the active optimal distribution are defined. The problem is solved iteratively according to the presented accuracy. The active power losses are defined on the base of the power through the electric network branches. For the exact definition it is necessary to formulate the power flow distribution. Therefore, for every step of the iteration process solved, the flow distribution problem and the power losses for every value of power of the electric power plant are described. This problem requests a considerable machine time. For overcoming this difficulty an approximate formula is used for finding out the power losses.
