Dual-Band of Light Intensity Detection Equipment for Photosynthetic Based on the Solar Elevation Angle

Illumination is one of primary effecting factors on photosynthesis. Plants absorption spectrum are mainly concentrated on 400~460nm of the blue-purple light and 600~700nm of the red-orange light, while existed light detection equipment can't detect red and blue light intensity by a single sensor at the same time. This paper proposes a photosynthetic required band light detection equipment based on the solar elevation angle, which uses digital visible light sensor and takes single chip microcomputer as core processor. A function relationship of red and blue light intensity and solar elevation angle was established, combined with intensity of visible light, time and latitude. The equipment also supported field data storage by SD card and data transfers through RS232 interface. The experiment results show that equipment can realize red and blue light intensity detection effectively.
