Using Stage-Gate Processes effectively for managing technology-based projects

Based on field studies of best-in-class practices, the paper discusses techniques for setting up the Stage-Gate Process properly as an integrated part of a modern project management system. The important role of cross-functional linkages, involvement, commitment, communications and decision making are emphasized.
