Speed-curvature relation for a discrete model of excitable media

The authors derive expressions for the dependence of propagation speed on wavefront curvature directly from the excitation rules for a discrete model of an excitable medium in the limiting case of no recovery. This allows the authors to find the plane wave speed, critical curvature, and effective diffusion constant of the medium. Reproduction of these features is essential for modeling reentrant arrhythmias in the heart.
