In the preceding paper

of this series, a simple theory underlying the circle diagram of the brush-shifting a-c motor was presented. It is the purpose of this paper to advance this theory, and to show how it can be used to determine such quantities as efficiency, current, torque, and speed for different conditions of operation. The procedures outlined and explained have been checked experimentally, and found to be accurate for both high-speed and low-speed adjustments.
