A cascaded reconfigurable RH/CRLH-zero-phase microstrip transmission line unit cell

A new reconfigurable CRLH-TL was cascaded with a conventional RH microstrip TL to form a reconfigurable 0.18λ
g
long zero-phase TL. The positive phase of the reconfigurable CRLH-TL was used to cancel the negative phase of the RH microstrip TL at two different frequencies. The reconfigurable RH/CRLH-0-φ-TL presented in this work can be designed to have two different 0-φ frequencies away from the stop band while simultaneously having good matching.
