Concurrent Design of Interior-Permanent-Magnet Machines for Self-Sensing and Power Conversion

This paper presents the concurrent design of interior permanent magnet (IPM) machines for self-sensing and power conversion. Simulations with finite-element analysis are mainly used to gain insight of magnetic behavior and flux characteristics in the evaluated machines.
