Research on the visualization in group deliberation environment

Visualization is an important technology in group deliberation environment (GDE). This paper proposes three types visualized information in GDE such as the visualization of discussion information, the visualization of the state of consensus building and the visualization of the result of deliberation. The discussion information is visualized by the control of TreeView which displays experts' speeches as a dialogue tree. The state of consensus building and the result of deliberation are visualized by the control of MSChart. The paper uses the proposed technique to develop a group deliberation support system, the result shows that it makes the group grasp the process of deliberation efficiently and facilitates consensus building.
