Web applets for interactive tutorials on artificial neural learning

The paper describes the development of Java/sup TM/ Web applets for tutorials on artificial neural learning. First, the artificial neuron applet simulates the structure and behaviour of an artificial neuron. Second, the perceptron learning applet demonstrates a simple form of supervised learning known as the perceptron learning algorithm. These applets exploit the benefits of Java to provide a dynamic and new approach to demonstrating artificial neural networks.
