Polymer optical waveguide for ultra high-density interconnection

Feasibility of making all directional graded index variations on a polynorbornene based planar lightwave circuit is demonstrated. Owing to the light confinement characteristic, all parallel-aligned 12 channels are capable of transmitting 12.5Gbps data with low crosstalk.
