The fuzzy PID speed control of PMSM based on equivalent input disturbance estimator

This paper presents an equivalent input disturbance estimator to suppress the influence of the disturbance parameter of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors or load. This estimator is designed on the basis that the real unknown disturbance can be equal to the input disturbance of plant. Meanwhile, an approach based on EKF is proposed to estimate the speed and the position of the PMSM without sensor system. Moreover, a fuzzy PID controller is designed to compensate the infection of input equivalent disturbance. The simulation results from a PMSM system with equivalent input disturbance estimator and EKF estimator demonstrate that if the speed is given or changed, the system has good dynamic performance, and the performance of PMSM can be improved validly.
