All-optical demultiplexing of a signal using collision and waveguiding of spatial solitons

The basic principle of a new all-optical demultiplexer is experimentally demonstrated. It relies on the interaction between an input signal and two colliding spatial solitons of a different wavelength in a planar nonlinear waveguide.
