Estimating the phase noise spectrum of oscillator signals: A novel method

Prediction of oscillator phase noise is highly desirable in order to optimize oscillator signals for accurate timing and for other measuring purposes. This paper introduces a Galerkin-method for prediction. It may deliver more accurate results as compared to Leeson's semi-empirical method, and it is easier to apply as compared to Kärtner's or Demir's method.
