Oscillatory MHD gas flows in the slip flow regimes

The oscillatory MHD gas flow in slip flow regimes has been studied analytically. The governing equations of motion and energy are used considering the MHD effects and a slip boundary condition on the walls. The equations are non-dimensionalized and coupled equations of motion and heat transfer are solved analytically. The non-dimensionalized velocity and temperature are plotted with respect to the microchannel's height and the effects of magnetic field on these parameters are investigated. The results show that by imposing a magnetic field the slip effects decrease. The heat transfer could be controlled in oscillatory gas flows by external magnetic fields.
