New approach for beamforming in a coherent and incoherent environment

In beamforming applications the degrees of freedom or the maximum number of signals allowed, is an important number that will decide the number of sensors and the associated hardware components required to achieve the desired performance. A flexible algorithm that allows us to control the degrees of freedom depending on the environment in which it operates, is presented.
