A study of slotting optimization of AS/RS based on VEGA algorithm

As an important link of the internal logistics process in enterprise production, the efficiency of AS/RS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) is crucial. Slotting optimization is an effective way to improve it. Comparison studies on many kinds of optimization algorithms have done in this paper and a new algorithm based on VEGA (Virus Evolutionary Genetic Algorithm) has been presented. Analysis and comparison by example its' computational efficiency has been improved significantly compared to traditional genetic algorithm, so it is better meet the actual needs of the scene.
