A proton exchange membrane fuel cell running as a regulated current source

Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) can be considered as low voltage sources, so that most of time, they are connected to power electronic converters, such as boost converter, in order to increase voltage levels. In this work, we emphasize another way to use PEMFC as regulated current sources controlled by hydrogen flux. Experiments have been led on a test bench equipped with a PEM single cell 100 cm

active area and completed by some simulations results.
