Additional load on structures due to installed wind turbines

Installing wind turbines on buildings is a new way of wind energy utilization in recent years. Additional loads due to installed wind turbines will be acted on the structure and therefore affect the local or global behavior of the structure. Taking a small wind turbine as an example, a simplified method to calculate the additional load is proposed in this paper. It will provide a reference for further structural analysis of buildings integrated with wind turbines.
