Dielectric properties of Pb(Zn/sub 1/3/Nb/sub 2/3/)O/sub 3/-BaTiO/sub 3/-PbTiO/sub 3/ ceramics

The compositions and dielectric properties of temperature-stable Pb(Zn/sub 1/3/Nb/sub 2/3/)O/sub 3/-based ceramics were designed according to the logarithmic mixing rule. On the basis of design, a series of Pb(Zn/sub 1/3/Nb/sub 2/3/)O/sub 3/-based ceramics were prepared using two compositions in the Pb(Zn/sub 1/3/Nb/sub 2/3/)O/sub 3/-BaTiO/sub 3/-PbTiO/sub 3/ system as two constituents by the mixed-sintering method. The results of dielectric measurements revealed that the ceramics are composites. A temperature-stable ceramic prepared by the mixed sintering method was obtained and its dielectric properties were as follows: dielectric constant was 3850, dissipation factor was less than 1.5%, and the temperature coefficient of capacitance met requirement of X7S specification (TCC/spl les//spl plusmn/22%, -55-+125/spl deg/C) of EIA standards.
