1.6-6 GHz optimized antennas for indoor wireless LAN applications

This paper presents a class of broadband monopole-based antennas for indoor wireless local area network applications. Through optimization of the antenna's physical shape, different structures for both the base station and the mobile terminal are designed and developed. These antennas have been successfully incorporated in a 2.4 GHz 25 Mbps prototype PC card test-bed system.
