The metadata encoding of digital content

According to the Dublin Core, the international Cataloguing Principles and survey results, we determine the basic metadata elements of digital content and get the metadata table including essential elements and non-essential elements. Based on the sort of metadata elements obtained in survey results, we encode the metadata with main elements, which customers are most concerned about. And then we make a detailed code design of the most complex field-theme, forming a unique identifier for digital contents, which will improve the efficiency of digital content's storage and retrieval.
