High power fiber lasers and amplifiers

Summary form only given. There has been a great deal of progress in the development of high-power, single-mode fiber coupled pump sources for fiber lasers and amplifiers. These high power sources enable new classes of practical, diode-pumped nonlinear fiber devices to be constructed.
