The gas water heater control system design based on fuzzy control

The gas water heater is a controlled object with time delay and non-linear characteristics. So it is difficult to establish its accurate mathematical model. Because the conventional PID regulator has fixed parameters, the control effects are often poor. In this paper, the device uses a microcontroller AT-Megal16L and fuzzy control technology, The DIDO fuzzy controller is decomposed two DISO fuzzy controller, using self-tuning PID temperature control algorithm in order to meet the needs of the characteristics of the gas water heater. The simulation results show that the combination of fuzzy control and PID control can effectively reduce the overshoot and steady state error as well as it can shorten adjusting time.
