Research on wind-induced vibration hybrid control of Hefei TV Tower

In this paper, Hefei TV Tower is used as an analytical case to examine the control method with Fluid Viscous Damper and Tuned Mass Damper under the fluctuation wind load. Firstly, according to the random vibration theory, the fluctuation wind on the tower can be modeled as 19-dimensional correlated random process, and the wind-induced vibration analysis of tower subjected to dynamic wind load are studied. Hybrid Control is proposed to study the wind-induced vibration control analysis using tuned mass damper and viscous fluid dampers, and the optimal damper damping coefficient is obtained by considered the wind-induced response of upper turret as optimization objectives. According to analysis showed that the wind-induced responses and the wind vibration input energy of the tower are decreased greatly with Damper, and the peak acceleration responses of the upper turret is reduced by 50.7%.
