Study on the Wastewater Treatment and Nitrogen removal by anoxic/aerobic membrane bioreactor

A/O-MBR was conducted to treat simulated sewage and domestic sewage in this paper, and degradation of pollutants in reactor was studied at the same time. The results showed that the process had excellent removal efficiency of pollutants, under the conditions of C/N was 8:1~10:1, MLSS was 5~9g/L, HRT of part A was 3.93h, HRT of part O was 5.5h, DO of part A was 0~0.5mg/L, DO of part O was 1~3mg/L. -N, TN was 96%, 95.89%, 92.14%, respectively, when domestic sewage was treated. The pollutant removal of A/O-MBR mainly depended on high microbial concentration kept by the membrane; and suitable technology of membrane fouling control ensured that the MBR reactor could be in normal operation.
