Research of vacuum thermal insulation characteristic for conduction cooling SMES

In this paper, the vacuum system of conduction cooling high temperature Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage (SMES) is seen as the research object. The relation between vacuum degree and material deflation, temperature change is revealed by the theory analyses and experiment in the moment of vacuuming and cryogenics absorbing. The pressure of SMES vacuum system has been maintaining in 10
^-2
Pa for 20 days in the experiment. The result of experiment is shows that absorbing capability is favorable and require of the vacuum degree is satisfied with G-M refrigerator in SMES vacuum system.
