A novel application of MSC-Pool in mobile communication core networks

The Mobile Switching Center (MSC)-Pool technology, described in 3GPP specifications, has been playing an important role in the construction and maintenance of mobile networks. With the MSC-Pool, the quality of network and customer's satisfaction can be improved. Furthermore, the investment and operation cost can be reduced at the same time. However, how to improve the implementation of the above MSC-Pool over a large-scaled mobile communication network has not been discussed enough. Therefore, in this paper an analysis and related implementation of MSC-Pool over real network are carried out. The details on solution, network structure and performance have also been shown.
