On the possibility of using powerful millimetre wave band radars for tracking objects in circumterrestrial space

The structure and achievable performance of powerful millimetre wave band radar is considered. This radar can be applied in the following areas: the provision of monitoring of functioning space vehicles in Earth geostationary orbit; provision of safety of space flights by means of processing information about space debris to avoid collisions of space vehicles with it; forecasting of the time and the place of large man-made and natural space objects falling on the Earth; and radar research of the surface of the Moon.
