The Influence of Various Loads to Node Voltage in Power System

Node voltage is affected by changing loads. The active power-voltage curve and reactive power-voltage curve have some limitations in analyzing the effects of node voltage to the loads. In this thesis, the Thevenin's equivalent circuit is adopted to make mathematical analysis on the key nodes, and then the function expressions between impedance angle and node voltage is deduced. In the end, a new analysis method for describing the impacts of various loads to node voltage is proposed. The simulations on the 2-machine 5-bus system and New England 10-machine 39-bus system show that this method can be more particular on describing the alteration trends of node voltage nearby critical points.
