Application of Fuzzy Control in Multi-motor Tension Control System

Through the analysis of the multi variables, nonlinear and strong coupling system of two AC induction motors, this paper designs a fuzzy PID controller that the structure is simple and the application is easy. The fuzzy control does not require a precise mathematical modeling of the system nor complex computations. It only relies on the human capability to understand the system's behavior and is based on qualitative control rule. It is applicable of the nonlinear system of two AC induction motors control system. This paper gives fuzzy controller structure in two AC induction motors control system and defines fuzzy sets for each input and output variable. Rule tables for fuzzy control are obtained from the analysis of the system behavior. Through the two different fuzzy PID controllers in the speed feedback and the tension feedback, both the speed and tension response are greatly improved. On the basis of a lot of experiments, the expert experience and the theory about the fuzzy control, the paper builds a fuzzy decoupling controller. The experimental results show this system has good performance and applicable value.
