Unified control for grid-side converter of multibrid wind power generation system

Multibrid wind power generation system (MWPGS) has aroused more and more attention for its high energy conversion efficiency, high reliability, and flexible grid-connected power control. In order to achieve the decoupling regulation of the active and reactive power during the normal operation and enhance its capability of low voltage ride-though (LVRT) during grid voltage sag, a unified control strategy for MWPGS's grid-side converter is developed, which incorporates the improved grid-side voltage orientation control (VOC) with fuzzy auto-tuning PI controller and the control of braking resistor based on power balance method. Simulation of control performance for MWPGS's grid-side converter is carried out in Matlab/Simulink, and the results verify the correctness and feasibility of the unified control strategy proposed in this paper.
