Array step-like apodization function synthesis, parameter optimization and implementation aspects

Here we propose and analyse the properties of step-like apodization functions for antenna equidistant arrays and corresponding patterns. Their characteristics are optimized using the criterion of minimal side lobe level of the array pattern. Some aspects of apodization implementation are also discussed.
