Response of modulation characteristics of autooscillator interacting with remote load

If an auto-oscillator (for instance, a gyrotron) is operating at an ideally matched load and the system parameters are changing, relevant variations of frequency and RF power are smooth. But even small reflection from remote load may turn the modulation response rippled.
