Standardization of system architectures for onboard auxiliary power supply systems

Auxiliary power supply systems for rolling stock are less standardized today due to railway specific products with low lot sizes, thus requiring specific system engineering effort and making maintenance and refurbishment difficult. An overview on a standardization initiative is given defining target supply systems for future trains with its essential system interfaces.
