Numerical Simulation of PM10 Distribution from Main Pollution Sources in Shanghai Expo Area

Based on the statistical analysis on the emission of PM
₁₀
from different air pollution sources, ADMS-Urban was used to simulate the concentration distribution of PM
₁₀
in Shanghai Expo area. Typical days were chosen to study the distribution of PM
₁₀
in Expo planning area and influencing factors were analyzed. The results showed that Yangshupu power plant polluted Expo planning area most seriously, next to it is Wujing power plant and 2nd power plant. After that the denitration devices were adopted in 2nd Wujing power plant in 2008 and Wujing power plant in 2009, the concentration of PM
₁₀
conformed to the air quality standards of Shanghai Expo planning area both under SSW wind and NNE wind.
