Managing the Dynamics of E/mCommerce with a Hierarchical Overlapping Business-Value-Framework

Many e/mCommerce-Projects are failing because of insufficient planning, poor management, conflicting ideals and objectives between the involved stakeholders. In order to deal with these conflicts, we propose to manage these projects using easily understandable business values and by relying on an agile management approach. Business values are distributed over all hierarchical levels of enterprises. In our framework, business values provide support for developing goal- and value-based eCommerce software. While there's little to no empirical research in eCommerce business value, this work tackles eCommerce development using a business value framework which enables better prioritization over multiple business domains, an enhanced focus on strategic goals and a better understanding of market needs.
