CoUniverse Orchestrated Collaborative Environments with Dynamic Circuit Networks

In this paper, we address the problem of automated user-empowered control of dynamic network infrastructures. To do so, we have taken advantage of the advanced features of Internet2 Dynamic Circuit Networks (DCN) and the CoUniverse self-organizing application middleware. We modified CoUniverse to interface with DCN and automatically control the circuit allocation and deallocation based on application needs. We have also successfully showcased these features during a number of demonstrations like those at Winter 2009 ESCC/Internet2 Joint Techs and Spring 2009 Internet2 Member Meeting.
