Second Order of an Improved Deterministic Model for Rayleigh Fading Channels

In this paper, second order statistics such as, Autocorrelation (ACF), Level crossing rate (LCR) and average fade duration (AFD) of an improved deterministic model is analyzed. Simulation results are presented by using different methods for the design of the parameters of the deterministic simulation model. Compared to the generalized method of exact Doppler spread (GMEDS), method of Lp-norm, and original method of exact Doppler spread (MEDS), the improved method has the best performance in ACF, LCR, and AFD no matter what inphase or quadruture components. Moreover, it has closed form expression of Doppler frequency, and if the random wobble amplitude of Doppler frequency is set to be an infinitesimal real value, the second order statistics of the improved model will match the desired ones perfectly.
