output feedback control for singular systems is proposed in this paper. Base on Projection lemma and Finsler's lemma combined with linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique, strict LMI conditions are derived, under which the resulting closed-loop system guarantees the admissibility as well as a desire H
_∞
performance level γ via static and dynamic output feedback, respectively. The proposed sufficient conditions do not require a state-coordinate transformation for the system, in the meantime, the decomposition of Lyapunov matrix and its inverse matrix is not introduced. The theoretical results are verified by means of an example.
