In the second part of our two-part special feature, the author takes an in-depth look at the modern electronics that were called upon to bring Tornado, the world's newest steam locomotive, up to 21st century standards. The challenge was finding room for everything. Although it appears to be a large engine there's an awful lot on it and there was competition for space around the cab.
