Synthesis and characterization of spherical LiNi0.7Co0.15Mn0.15O2 via co-precipitation

O in oxygen. The structure, morphology and electrochemical properties of LiNi
_0.7
Co
_0.15
Mn
_0.15
O
₂
calcined at different temperatures were studied. The average particles size of the powders was about 8-10¿m and the size distribution was relatively narrow. The LiNi

Co
_0.15
Mn
_0.15
O
₂
prepared at 750°C delivered a higher initial discharge capacity of 185.2 mAh/g and the capacity retention of 94.77% after 50 cycles within the voltage range 3.0-4.3 V at the 0.2C rate. The spherical LiNi

samples synthesized by the co-precipitation method show a good electrochemical performance.
