Numerical simulation of the erecting system for large device

The erecting process of a hydraulic erecting system was studied based on electro-hydraulic similarity principle, with the numerical simulation of the rapid-erection system of a multi-function missile launching vehicle as an example. The system modeling was based on ¿knot point balance method¿. The pressure-flow rate characteristics of hydraulic elements and cubage cavity were analyzed based on mathematic models of the hydraulic cubage cavity of long pipeline and of short pipeline, respectively. Its movement and bearing force were also analyzed. According to the hydraulic diagram of erecting system, the three steps of erecting process were described. The simulation model of common elements and the hydraulic erecting system's cubage cavity were established using Matlab/simulink. Finally, the simulation curves of the erecting process of hydraulic erecting system were presented for a comparison with test curve. The simulation results revealed that, multi-stage telescopic hydraulic cylinder operates in normal state generally, but with slight vibration when switching stage, which were able to basically satisfy engineering requirements.
