A biodynamical measure of master-slave manoeuvrability

This paper describes an attempt to use a biodynamical measure to evaluate the performance of human-robot interfaces that should be comfortable for human operators. Since the issue of comfort is human related, we should adopt some biodynamical measures to evaluate the comforts of human operator. This paper proposes a quantitative biodynamical measure that depends on the heart rate, instantaneous lung volume and arterial blood pressure of the human operator. Experiments show that there exists a clear relation between the measure and the task stress of operators.
