A lack of government support pulled the rug from under the fledgling Concentrating Solar Thermal Power (CSP) industry. This signalled the start of a dormant period as CSP technology gradually faded into the background of the renewable electricity sector, surpassed by robust interest in the more 'glamorous' technology of PV.
