Ultrafast electron-hole dynamics and optical gain in CdSe/CdS nanorods

Pump-probe on CdSe/CdS dot/rod gives evidence of electron delocalization and of hole transfer from the rod to the dot with a time constant of about 700 fs. We discovered Amplified Stimulated Emission and lasing in some nanocrystal films.
