Demand side management road map in India

DSM explicitly refers to all those activities that involve deliberate intervention by the utility in the marketplace so as to alter the consumer's load profile. Demand side management has been identified as a potent tool to address the peak energy and power deficit in India which stands at 9% and 15.2% respectively. This paper discusses the various demand side management initiatives and policy measures relevant to the Indian Energy Scenario.
