Analysis of periodic solutions of discretized single input sliding mode control systems

Zero-order holder discretization of single input sliding mode control system is studied. The existence of periodic solutions is investigated. The existence of complex switching patterns for arbitrarily small discretization steps is confirmed. Theoretical results are illustrated with simulation examples.
