Reuse cluster size selection for a mobile packet radio system

The problem of choosing the size, K, of the frequency reuse cluster to maximize throughput performance in a mobile cellular data packet radio system is addressed. Various system characteristics and parameters which affect the optimal value, K/sub opt/, of K are examined. It is found that K/sub opt/ is not very sensitive to many of these factors. Measures taken to reduce co-channel interference tend to lower K/sub opt/.
