Effects of dew on millimeter-wave propagation

As the need for spectrum space increases, a greater understanding of atmospheric effects on signals at higher frequencies will be required. A brief description of atmospheric attenuation at millimeter-wave frequencies is presented with a focus on attenuation caused by water, the largest contributor of millimeter-wave attenuation. Dew on an antenna is a significant contributing factor to this attenuation, as is shown through experimental results.
