The mutual coupling effect on the input impedance and radiation pattern of Yagi antenna in an array environment

The classical dipole theory has been extended to determine the mutual coupling effect on the parameters of the Yagi-Uda antenna in the array environment. The approach is very simple and useful in designing a Yagi antenna array and takes a shorter computer time as compared to the commonly used numerical technique of the method of moments. Experiments which were carried out to validate the theoretical results, show very good agreement.
